Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issue study permits that allow a foreign national to study in Canada for a limited time.

Once the eligibility criteria have been met by the prospective student and they have the correct documents, they may apply for a study permit, online or by paper. Paper applications must be given to a visa processing office outside of Canada.

You will be required to possess a study permit if your course is 6 months or longer, as well as remain enrolled at your designated institution.As soon as the letter of acceptance is received, it is important to apply for the study permit.
